Dr. Stanley earned his medical degree from UT Health Houston, also known as the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, in 2009 and completed his residency in Otolaryngology at UT Health Houston in 2014. As a true general ENT physician, he treats both adult and pediatric patients, with approximately 30 percent of his practice focused on children. His clinical work includes ear disorders, sinus conditions, thyroid cases, cancers, sleep apnea surgery, Inspire hypoglossal nerve stimulator implants, facial trauma coverage, select facial plastic procedures, and skull-base surgery in collaboration with neurosurgeons, including pituitary cases. Alongside two partners, Dr. Stanley helps provide inpatient ENT coverage for a large 500-bed community hospital that also serves as a Level II trauma center.

A member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Dr. Stanley credits much of his professional success to building strong relationships throughout the healthcare community, including referring physicians, primary care doctors, hospital staff, audiologists, speech therapists, and other providers. Since beginning as the only UT physician at his satellite location, he has helped grow the practice by adding two physicians and two audiologists, with future goals of adding additional physicians, hiring a speech therapist, and developing the satellite office into a comprehensive medical center model. Dr. Stanley’s passion for medicine began in childhood, when he was called “Doctor Doug,” a nickname that helped inspire his lifelong goal of becoming a physician and serving the Houston and Shenandoah, Texas communities through compassionate, accessible ENT care.
